Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula
Native to Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina // Females live up to 20 years, while males live 3-5 years // Hunts by stalking and pouncing rather than catching prey in webs // Legspan of up to 6" //
Females may eat the males after mating // Predators are the coati and the tarantula hawk wasp
